Cancellation of cap and trade is a backwards move. Cap and trade has been proven to be an effective tool. The planet can only take so much, we have pushed beyond reasonable limits and we are now in very dangerous territory.

As a grandparent, I am very concerned that the government is being short sighted when it comes to dealing with climate change. The latest report on climate change is only underscoring this reality.

Please do not cancel the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016
- We cannot compete economically using old technology with other countries who have lower costs.
- We have abundant resources (money and highly talented labour force) to develop and evolve our society.

I do not agree with the cancellation. The savings are doubtful, and in light of the climate report it is deeply irresponsible to be repealing one of our key environmental protection legislation.

Pollution costs all of us and our children and their children. This cap and trade program had many positive outcomes in promoting a more sustainable plan of renewable energy, conservation and long lasting benifits for the environment.

I would just like to offer my opinion regarding the cap and trade cancellation act. This seems like a great idea economically, allowing for our local companies in our province to behave in a more free market enterprise, and allowing our economy to subsequently thrive.

I am extremely disappointed in the cancellation of this Bill. The figures show that Cap and Trade is effective at reducing fossil fuel emission and it is incredibly careless for us to cancel this Bill. Will not be voting PC in future based on this issue, please change.
Eliminating the Cap-and-Trade is irresponsible and is a step backwards in decreasing Ontario's impact on the environment. The government should be putting more policies in place to protect the environment, conserve ecosystems, decrease carbon emissions, and invest in Green energy and industry.
