Canada as a country vowed to keep true to the targets set by COP2. As a nation we are supposed to be decreasing our emissions by 30% every year to stay on track. This is extreme environmental negligence on your part and ALSO shows a complete disregard for the Canadian agenda.

Cancelling the Ontario Cap and Trade program would be financially, socially and environmentally irresponsible. In light of the most recent UN report on climate change the situation for the planet is dire. Lire davantage

I'm extremely concerned that the Ontario Government is proposing the cancellation of the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, 2016. I hear a great deal about whether or not we should put a price on carbon. Lire davantage

Don't cancel the cap and trade program. I want Ontario to put a price on pollution, making polluters pay for their emissions and returning the revenues to the pockets of Ontarians so they can lower their carbon footprint. Lire davantage

Establishing a price on carbon is the most fiscally responsible way, driven by the capital markets that underpin our modern economy, to fight climate change and protect Ontarians' property values, business prospects, and hard-working families. Lire davantage

I feel strongly that the repeal of the Cap and Trade is the incorrect move for Ontario. This Bill should be cancelled. There are numerous problems with this approach, including: Lire davantage

The cancellation of Ontario's Cap and Trade is both irresponsible and short-sighted. The move is eliminating an important source of government revenue, and will inevitably result in further carbon emission increases - leading to greater impacts of climate change. Lire davantage

Anthropogenic (human-made) global warming is dangerously increasing as we burn more fossil fuels and add more carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, to the atmosphere. Lire davantage

Cancelling the Cap and Trade bill without a replacement is premature. The climate science is very clear - we have an ever-shorter window of opportunity to take comprehensive action. Cap and trade was working to reduce carbon output. Lire davantage

I'm submitting these comments anonymously because I don't want my name in Conservative party databases. I strenuously oppose your Bill 4. Not because I believe that cap and trade is the ideal response to global warming, but because Lire davantage

Why cancel the Cap and Trade program when we have already committed to system that is effective? This cancellation will cost tax payers more in compensation (wasteful) and we will lose the benefits of a market-based solution. Lire davantage

I want there to be real economic incentives for not polluting in Ontario. And real repercussions for those who aren’t following emission targets and disregarding the well-being of many current and future Ontarioans. Lire davantage
