I noticed when conservation sent me an updated map of our farm for a wetland adjustment that all the symbols on the bottom of map were called HAZARD, ie wetland hazard. The timing of this is coincidental to bill 23 and the changes to the regulation authority that CAs have. Lire davantage

Flood hazard mapping as it is done now and how it is proposed is Urban focused. This is not necessarily a bad thing as the hazard can be amplified where there are a lot of people. Lire davantage

This comment is specific to the mapping of supposed “wetland hazards”. The maps that are being used in Halton are not ground truthed. Using these maps for land use planning decisions as well as you point out will impact and direct where new development will go. Lire davantage
