This is madness. I can't believe we have to go through this again. Doug Ford's enabling of his developer overlords' greed is beyond all comprehension. When will his developer friends ever be rich enough? When there is no green space left at all? When we can't feed ourselves? Lire davantage

Thank-you for this opportunity to provide input to Proposed Amendments to the Greenbelt Plan ERO number019-6216. I am writing as a private citizen. To be clear, I am opposed to removing parcels of land from the Greenbelt. Lire davantage

I am strongly against any reduction in any section of the existing greenbelt. The proposal will not resolve the cost of housing affordability, only encourage the increase in sprawl and more executive homes which make developers rich. Lire davantage

Listen, the green belt is land that we need to protect for the environment. We shouldn’t let money talk in this case as we all know it’s Doug’s friends in real estate that want this to happen. If you really care about climate change, open the damn Toll roads to commercial vehicles. Lire davantage

Developing the Greenbelt is nothing short of corruption. Developers bought those lands for cheap and suddenly finding themselves with a windfall is not accidental. This is corrupt and anti democratic. It should not be allowed to stand.

While I sincerely recognize the housing crisis that is currently in our midst, this “solution” you are proposing is simply driving our environmental crisis even further into despair. Lire davantage

I am appalled that the government is planning to redesignate areas of the Greenbelt for development. I truly hope the government will reconsider and protect this important region of our province.

The greenbelt is possibly the most important part of Ontario. Removing portions of it is not only a complete lie to the public, but something generations in the future will pay for. Adding sections on is not equivalent to maintaining what is already there.

This is nothing but a corrupt kickback for developers who donated large sums of money to the PC party. Even if the land is developed, no doubt it will be in the style of a suburb rather than the intense housing development we need to solve the housing crisis.

The Greenbelt needs to be protected. It absorbs carbon and supports biodiversity. There is space for houses elsewhere. This area was protected for a reason and it needs to remain protected.

Proposed amendments to the Greenbelt should not be allows to pass. This space is an integral part of our province. Allowing the use of this land for housing will not solve the problem and will, in the end, have a negative environmental impact on our province. Lire davantage
