This is a hard 'no' for Ontario's residents and taxpayers. We do not want to exploit protected land for building high cost sprawl, that must be serviced by auto-dependent lifestyles. This land was set aside for protection for a reason. Lire davantage

We are in the middle of a climate crisis. We can't continue to destroy our natural habitats for short term gains. We need to think long term for more sustainable solutions to housing needs. Don't destroy our green belt.

I'm deeply concerned, and frankly outraged, at this attempt to remove greenbelt land for the sake of development, when we have evidence that there is enough land already available (see attached "Report of the Ontario Housing Affordability Task Force"). Lire davantage

The changes to the greenbelt are a mistake for future generations. Some areas you are proposing to add as replacement land are already developed and not actually green space. Lire davantage

It’s been said that every win for the environment is temporary and every loss is permanent. This proposal is a permanent loss for our province . Not only for the environment in Ontario but it’s people both present and those to come. Lire davantage

This policy is based on a broken promise. Mr. Ford promised many times not to touch the greenbelt. There is no nothing his government can do to gain credibility on this issue. This proposal along with other policy decisions reveal that the government is committed to sprawl without limit. Lire davantage

Bill 23 is an unfathomable and forceful devastation of environmentally sensitive lands, that is NOT supported by local residents OTHER than Ford's short-sighted, greedy, future-destroying developer comrades. Lire davantage

Theme 1: Less affordable housing I am happy that the provincial government is concerned about the lack of affordable housing for Ontarians. However, Bill 23 has failed to act decisively to ensure affordable homes will be built where they are needed inside existing cities. Lire davantage

This is an obvious cash grab for the Ford Government’s wealthy friends. Protecting the Greenbelt is most important issue. There’s enough land for the housing crisis!! Stop this bill!!!

The proposed changes to the Greenbelt area are the beginning of the encroachment of development into this sensitive ecosystem. The development of housing will continue once this initial stage is approved. Lire davantage

Bill 23 should be rescinded in its entirety. The protected Greenbelt needs to be protected in perpetuity to ensure our water sources are not compromised. Our Agricultural areas need to be protected to endure Ontarians have the ability to produce our own, close to home food. Lire davantage
