It is reprehensible, what Doug Ford is doing to the Greenbelt. First, he promised Ontarians in the past, repeatedly, that he would not do exactly what he is doing -- opening it for "development". Lire davantage

I am against this bill. It is important to maintain greenspace and avoid fragmentation. Nature is vital for mental and physical well-being and the more we pave over green spaces closer to the GTA, this will make greenspaces further away and less accessible.

I oppose the removal of any lands from the Greenbelt, especially those identified in Niagara Region (Grimsby), abutting Lake Ontario (502 Winston Rd - recently purchased by developer J Paikin and New Horizon Development Group) and the Main Street West lands abutting the Niagara Escarpment UNESCO Wor Lire davantage

I do not support this proposal. The proposal is self-serving for our Premier and his friends at the irreversible cost of all Ontarians. There are many ways to increase the housing stock without permanently destroying protected or otherwise undeveloped spaces. Lire davantage

Once the greenbelt is developed, it cannot be reversed. The purpose appears to be to develop housing. I would rather see the shortage of housing be addressed by increasing density in our cities. Thank you for allowing me to comment. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the proposed changes to the Greenbelt. I do not believe removing lands from the Greenbelt and allowing residential development in these lands is the appropriate way to solve the housing supply and affordability crisis. Lire davantage

Building homes for the anticipated growth of the province is completely needed but taking Greenbelt land and converting it into quickly developed buildings to support 3% of the overall Bill 23 1.5 million goal makes zero sense. Lire davantage
