Opening the Greenbelt to development takes away much needed farmland that supports our province’s growing population. We are at more risk of flooding by destroying natural watersheds.

I am very concerned about opening up the Greenbelt for development. This area is home to the headwaters of a number of rivers and they must be protected from development. We need "green" lands for both our health and the health of the environment.

I just graduated undergrad, I’m 22 and even I can recognize how harmful and disingenuous this “Build More Homes Faster” bill is. I’m also a child of immigrants who grew up in a new suburb.

The greenbelt was protected for a reason. There are other policies to address housing that don't threaten ecological value.
Developers buying protected land that then becomes unprotected is incredibly suspicious and appears corrupt. It should be investigated.
This is a dangerous precedent for the future of the green belt and protected spaces in Ontario and Canada.
It’s a broken promise from the Premier, and a bold faced effort to enrich developers and will do nothing to address the housing crisis.
This plan is appalling. It seems a joke to call it a plan when it is just disregarding environmental assessments in favor of giving money to developers. The idea that land could be reverted back to the green belt is laughable.

I am fiercely opposed to the Ontario government’s plan to open up protected land on the Greenbelt for development.
Until quite recently, wanted us to believe you were too. Just last year, you said: “We’re not going to entertain any conversations about a land swap” on the Greenbelt.

I do not support Bill 23- or taking any land from the greenbelts period.
As a CPMHN (c) RN and a SADV RN I work with the homeless community as a substantial portion of my job. I also volunteer with many nursing environmental projects, as well as community environmental projects.

I find this shocking beyond belief. At a time when our environment needs protecting we find we even have a democracy that no longer works. We the public have once again been shafted by this government.
