Seriously?! When we’’re on the brink of climate disaster and need our green spaces more than ever, Doug Ford thinks selling off the Greenbelt to his developer friends is a good idea?! The current people of Ontario do not want this, and future generations certainly won’t thank us for it. Lire davantage

As a society we need to be protecting our green-space now more than ever. With climate change and hotter weather, tree canopy and biodiversity need to put prioritized. What message do we send to the rest of the world when we’re okay to remove our own conservation areas? Lire davantage

There is zero reason for this complete destruction of Canada's natural beauty other than givernmental greed. There is already a global crisis from climate change and this will only accelerate and exacerbate an already dire environmental emergency. Lire davantage

Development within the Greenbelt is entirely unnecessary. Official Plans (the guiding documents that direct municipal development over the next 20 to 30 years) have vacant land that is already designated for development to the year 2031. Lire davantage

The Greenbelt is the way it is in order to protect land for the future…our children. It also protects productive soil which is depleting in our province. Above all, it protects our water and our species, many who are at risk. If we allow this proposal to go through, where will it stop? Lire davantage

We need more greenbelt expansion and not destroy it. It’s for the future generations and our ecosystems, not for the past generations and extinct species. Please put an end to this profit mongering. Ford already mentioned he would not touch them.

1: we need to increase this greenbelt close to existing development so citizens can make use of these -- they are the parks that developers now seem to not have to provide -- replacement land is not nearby! Lire davantage

Dear Ontario government, Please do not proceed with this plan. Ecology is a delicate balance and this is protected land. There is plenty of unprotected land in Ontario that can be considered. Lire davantage

I DO NOT support any further development of the Greenbelt land. Greenbelt land is protected for a reason- this land is some of the best farmland, it is essential to the watershed, the ecosystem etc etc. Lire davantage
