Studies have made it absolutely clear that any development of the formerly protected lands of the Greenbelt is unnecessary. "There is enough land available to build over 2 million homes in the Greater Golden Horseshoe by 2031, without touching the Greenbelt or expanding urban boundaries." Lire davantage

Do not break up farms...subdividing each farm into 3 main lots to provide 12 homes! How foolish! Yes there is a housing crisis, but does the government not understand we have a FOOD CRISIS. We need every acre of land to produce local food. Lire davantage

I think it is disgraceful to have the largest industrial zoned area in Ontario broken up and used for housing. The businesses on the industrial land made the decision to locate there because it was zoned industrial, these are billion dollar decision. Lire davantage

The creation of residential lots on prime Agriculture designated lands seriously jeopardizes the viability of Ontario's Agriculture and Agri-Food Sector. To allow up to 3 residential lots in prime Agricultural areas is preposterous ! Lire davantage

There is no doubt that the provision of more housing, especially affordable housing, in growing regions of Ontario is important and it's good that this government recognizes that and is motivated to do something about it. Lire davantage

I live in a small rural community west of Kitchener. We are surrounded by farmland which is used for crops that feed people and animals. We cannot afford to pave over farmland with boxy houses or estate homes....keep those to the city limits. Lire davantage

As a farmer whose family has farmed the same farm in Caledon for 150 years, I am supportive of the proposed policies to form a new provincial planning policy instrument. I disagree with those who have concerns with the loss of farmland as well as those who are concerned with food security. Lire davantage

Please consider removing the protected industrial barrier around the Nanticoke area. As a resident who has watched this area remain underdeveloped please allow it to be considered for rezoning. We are naive to believe that our industrial partners will remain here indefinitely. Lire davantage

My husband and I are opposed to allowing industrial lands be rezoned for housing next door to s telco steel plant. We live near that area and are opposed especially with Hwy 6 traffic through Jarvis too much now without adding 40,000 new homes.
