This is ludicrous! The site has been dormant for over 30 years, it is NOT a landfill, it was used to bury ash from the incinerator. The site was then used for wood, pallets were ground into wood chips. They are making it sound as if garbage is buried there.

The impact this will have on our town will be irreparable if this goes through. Trucks plowing through town wrecking our roads, water wells being affected, endangered species being targeted. Please do not let this proposal pass.
Where to even begin with how much regarding how our peaceful little town does not want this to proceed? Firstly this site s a defunct tile yard/incenerator/wood lot that has been idle for YEARS.

How can travelling from the GTA 24/7 with 100+ trucks a day be better for the environment? Nevermind their proposal for the site basically in our town. York 1 can Recycle their material in their own neighborhood.

We do NOT want to reopen this landfill. If it is open it will affect our habitat and our waterways. Which inturn will affect everyone that uses this water source.
We just left GTA and bought in this lovely small town and when buying ensured there wasn’t a dump this close… how disappointing to hear this for real estate. The amount of trucks through our small down town will ruin our peaceful community. Please go away, we don’t want your garbage here!

I have lived in the area my whole life and also own property on Molly's creek up stream of the proposed site. This creek regularly goes over its banks in spring thaws and also with increased weather events that we have seen in the recent years.

I am against the expansion of the existing waste processing site at 29831 Irish School Road in Dresden Ontario. This location is only approximately 1 km from the town of Dresden. I fell this is too close to the town of Dresden and that the expansion should not be allowed.

Environment Ontario any other permits that would still be valid 40 plus years later, for a business that was dormant at least 3 decades???? YORK1 found a LOOPHOLE. Someone forgot to do the paperwork and we pay the price.

I strongly oppose york1 operating on this site. There is a huge danger of Molly's Creek being used for run off from their site. Also Molly's Creek runs into the Sydenham River both the Creek and the Sydenham have many endangered species.

I thought your information session last night was very disappointing. To have four or five stations where people have rehearsed answers was pathetic and to have the audacity to set up one of those for careers was a slap in the face.

This location will negatively impact the local residents due to greatly increased traffic and noise levels, especially with the 24-hour operations.

This is a very bad idea. The proposal will result in pollution of Molly's Creek and the Sydenham River. It calls for an extremely high use of ground water which is not available.

Proposed facility is too close to small town Dresden. Please complete adequate assessments (health, traffic, environmental, etc). Dresden is a small farming community that lies within Carolinian Canada habitat zone.

This company is trying to push through a dump in our town. They have been secretive about their plans and deny that they have done so. They notified the Municipality about their plans at the last minute and Dresden was unaware of this proposal.

No to the dump. Environmental concerns including endangered species and effects on Molly Creek, to Sydenham River , through Slye river to St. Clair River into Lake Ontario. Keep York garbage near the York region. Leave our area.
Keep your garbage out of my community! Put it in your own backyard! Everything about this plan seems very sneaky and not above ground. Trying to pull a fast one on this wonderful community. Go home and leave us alone!!
This proposed landfill is too close to the town of Dresden and to the Sydenham River. This location for a giant landfill poses a hazzard to the health and well- being of the people of the town and the river! We are counting on the Ministry to protect both!
The province and York1 are attempting to slip this through a decades old application that is nowhere near the size and scope of what they now propose.
