As someone whose family was one of the original cabin owners on Engineers Lake (Winnetka Lake Road), the lake was home to my extended non-blood family. We spent every summer together, for 2 straight months. We spent everyday together, had a beautiful community. Lire davantage

This lot fronts onto Winnetka Lake ( the big lake) and should be subject to different conditions than the cottages that face onto Engineer Lake ( the small lake) Certainly hot tubs tiki bars etc on the point facing on to Winnetka Lake are not an appropriate use of the narrow point.... This proposal seems to transfer to private ownership, areas such as the trails and the point, which historically, have been used by many area cottage owners. Our understanding is that rules relating to "prescriptive easements" apply to these areas. Lire davantage

I am a cottage owner on Engineer Lake and I am concerned about any new development on the lake. When I bought the cottage I was told that there would be no new development allowed on Engineer Lake to protect the water quality of the lake.
