You cannot be seriously considering passing this act. We've already taken over so much habitat & Ford wants to make it easier to destroy more. Please do the right thing and protect our vulnerable wildlife.

This sounds an awful lot like ‘it’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission’. Redefining habitats, removing reviewal processes, and allowing government to define what’s endangered, all with the expressed goal of expediting growth is a recipe for ecological disaster. So sad.

This is an attempt to use a flimsy excuse (US aggression) to weaken environmental protections. Repealing the 2007 Endangered Species Act makes an already precarious environmental situation worse, leaving ecosystems, plants, and animals without meaningful protection.

I live in Toronto. I strongly oppose bill 5 as I believe in scientific oversight over environmental decisions. I want strong environmental protections and I do not support convenience short cuts for foreign investment.
I oppose this bill and any bill that will put endangered species even further at risk in the face of greed. Please stop this bill and any other bill that will further endanger our wildlife in Ontario
I oppose Bill 5. I don’t want to put our environment at greater risk. I don’t want to further endanger plant and animal life. Please prioritize the protection of the land and its inhabitants.
This is clearly a plan to gut the protection of endangered species and their environment in favour of making it easier for the Ford government and developers to have no accountability and make more money with no oversight to the long term effects .
