Ensuring real due-diligence is conducted in order to protect the environment and wildlife in Ontario IS NOT a hinderance. We have nothing if we allow the Ford Government to bulldoze (literally and figuratively) through everything that makes Ontario unique and healthy and prosperous. Lire davantage

I must express serious concern regarding the proposed repeal of the Endangered Species Act, 2007, and its replacement with the Species Conservation Act, 2025. Lire davantage

This is sending us back in history and will only hurt our future. Another Doug ford nightmare choice we will all have to live with unless it’s stopped.

Given what this government tried to do with changes to the Greenbelt, I have no confidence that this legislation wouldn't be used for corrupt purposes.

This proposal is shortsighted and carries enormous risks. It read a lot like "shoot now ask questions later". With so many vulnerable species at risk we cannot allow corporate greed to cause extinction. Lire davantage

I am expressing concerns regarding the proposed transition from the Endangered Species Act (ESA) 2007 to the Species Conservation Act 2025. The rigorous regulations and procedures outlined in the ESA 2007 are essential for safeguarding species that are at risk. Lire davantage

I object to the proposed interim changes to the Endangered Species Act, 2007, and the introduction of the Species Conservation Act, 2025, as outlined in ERO notice #025-0380. Lire davantage

I’m strongly opposed to the proposed repeal of the Endangered Species Act, 2007 and the introduction of the Species Conservation Act, 2025. Speeding up approvals for development by moving to a “register-first” model helps developers, but it puts species and habitats at serious risk. Lire davantage

It is very important we maintain environmental regulations as we have seen what has happened to Ontario place. It is imperative this bill not be passed to protect wildlife and future homeowners from living on flood plains! Lire davantage

The citizens of Ontario want endangered species and their habitat to be protected! Any changes to the endangered species act are unacceptable. Of course, many businesses prefer to allow development outside the current regulations. This is not acceptable

If you are going to change policies that have been successful in what they were designed to do, I believe YOU are required to show us any scientific research that suggests what you are doing will not negatively impact the species on the list. Lire davantage

Removing ANY protection of endangered species in order to push ahead developments is wrong headed and reeks of governmental interference in the name of palm greasing and benefiting the wealthy developers. Lire davantage

Once again Doug Fords Conservative government is putting profits over the common good of our planet and people. I’m so over politicians using their power to benefit themselves while claiming “it’s for Ontarians”. Lire davantage

It appears that you are gutting the current legislation to such a degree that the government is giving itself the power to decide what species should remain protected, be added to the list or removed from the list. Is this not a conflict? Lire davantage

These proposed changes will see the abandonment Ontario’s commitment to protecting species and ensuring their recovery. The proposed regime would offer very limited protection to only a tiny fraction of the habitats species need to survive and recover. Lire davantage

This bill should not be passed under any circumstances. My family, friends, and I are strongly opposed to any action that undermines protections for endangered species. These animals have the right to thrive and flourish, ensuring that future generations can experience, learn, and appreciate them. Lire davantage
