Getting rid of endangered species act is a terrible idea. If we don’t protect endangered species, entire ecosystems can collapse because every creature plays a role in maintaining balance. When one species disappears, food chains break and the effects ripple through nature including to us. Lire davantage

I live in Toronto and feel that the currently proposed Bill 5 is a province wide enablement and legalization of both attempted and successful actions that were previously made by this provincial government against the land in and around the GTA. Lire davantage

Ontario has lost nearly all of its sensitive habitat to development. We cannot afford to lose more. This legislation will cause irreparable harm.

This is just another example of Doug Ford working for his developer buddies with zero regard for anyone or anything else. It’s always about what’s best for Dougie’s future once the people wake up and see his corruption.

This is lludicrous. Ford just continues to try to pillage whatever resources he can to fatten the accounts of himself and his 1% buddies. Ontario needs to stop this irresponsible and dangerous man.

We have fought long and hard to even have a much needed environmental protection act. So many species at risk with some already gone forever. As humans we should be the stewards of all creatures in our environment, this earth we call home. Strengthen protections, don't weaken them. Lire davantage

As a new mother and Canadian citizen, I would hope my daughter could get to know, see, and learn about the endangered species the Endangered Species Act protects. We need development and housing and we need a healthy environment for other species to live in. Lire davantage

While I am not opposed to streamlining bureaucracy and I agree that the current ESA permitting system can be onerous and overlap with other legislation, the proposed changes go too far in my opinion. Specifically: Lire davantage
