I am commenting today about the proposed changes to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act of 2006.
Apparently this is being done to allow portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to be sold to the Town of Wasaga Beach.
My family had a cottage in Wasaga Beach starting in 1960 which became a home that I lived in until 2001.
I still live close to Wasaga and we still purchase a Provincial Park seasonal pass every year.
At this time when there is huge growth in homes being built and people moving to the area the Provincial Park land should not be removed.
The current council in Wasaga Beach should never be in control of this land that they can then sell for private use.
Provincial Park lands need to be protected now more then ever, once it is gone it is gone forever!!
