I want the Ontario government to have a good plan to deal with Climate change. I know that a carbon tax is the best way to do this. I am opposed to getting rid of the present Cap and Trade system.
I am asking the Ontario government to introduce a climate change plan to reduce emissions, immediately.
Make it effective, so that emissions are reduced significantly. Put a price on pollution, and make polluters pay for their emissions, and give back to the people the revenues received.

I want Ontario to require polluters to pay for their emissions, with an end to eliminating them completely. We have to tackle climate change head on, as it is obvious we are soon going to be in a dire position globally. The Ford gov't has the wrong attitude.
I believe moving this province and country towards green based energy is a step in the right direction. If you do not heed those who are experts in this field (and that isn't Premier Ford), we risk even more harm to our country and world.

Cancelling Cap and Trade with no credible plan to replace it with is the worst thing this government can do for our environment.
An elected government is suppose to be part of the solution, not part of the problem.
Dismantling a climate change law that was working is bad for the environment, bad for our health, and bad for business. Cap-and-trade is extremely profitable for the province - proceeds for 2018-2019 were estimated at $2 billion.

We need laws like this to protect the environment from profit driven interests. Climate costs are externalities that allow companies to pass the bill on to future generations. I urge you not to cancel the cap and trade program.
The idea of cancelling this climate action plan should be because the government has a better plan. So far I have not seen it. I would like to know what they will do to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and encourage a forward thinking green economy.
I want a real climate change plan to reduce emissions, help people save energy and create jobs in the $26 trillion clean economy.
I want legally binding emissions targets in line with our obligations to the Paris Climate Agreement.
I want Ontario to be 100% powered by clean energy by 2050

As a citizen of Ontario I object to Bill 4 which will cancel our cap and trade program which is limiting the amount of carbon which our province puts in the air we breath. This is certainly a step backwards.
