Pollution causes damage and should not be free to put into our air,land and water. It is our responsibility to impose laws to protect this planet. I want carbon taxes for large polluters and the money from the taxes to be reinvested into clean energy sources.

I disagree wholeheartedly with the proposal to scrap the cap and trade system. It is important to have a system that holds polluters accountable in order to reduce the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.

There needs to be a price on carbon- for the sake of future generations.
We also need to keep our obligation to reduce carbon as part of the Paris Climate Agreement. If we all abandon this agreement, the planet is lost. There is no Planet B.
I think backing out of cap and trade at this time is an awful idea. 1. We don't have a better plan in place to work against pollution and climate change 2. Paying the fees involved in the contract is a waste of money for tax payers without a better plan. 3.

Climate change is real! We just had tornados in Ottawa, destroying many homes and an entire community! Forest fires are devastating many parts of our nation! Temperatures throughout the year have become erratic.
