This approval effectively supersedes the elected municipal government's role. It bypasses processes that are put there to ensure that there is enough time to gather information and evaluate zoning and building. These lands cannot be recovered once lost. I do not support this bill.

Please keep the urban boundary of the City of Hamilton and do not allow expansion of the urban boundary to swallow up more vital farmland. Please require developers to develop within the city - there is a lot of infill to develop. Lire davantage

I am in favour of a firm urban boundary. Our City Council reached this decision after much thought and input and I don't understand how, in a democracy, the provincial government could overturn this. Our environment and our health needs as much green space as possible.
