It is important to note that at this time I have seen nothing that restores the Central Pickering Development Plan (CPDP). The plan was intended to chart the course for development of Seaton and the Agricultural Preserve.

I remain concerned about the protection of the Duffins Rouge Agricultural preserve. Pickering politicians have a long history of trying to remove the protections and develop the preserve.

I am also am particularly concerned about the protection of the Duffins Rouge Agricultural preserve. In this time of climate change and local food crisis, we have to protect this Class 1 farmland, adjacent to the Rouge park, and rich in wetlands, creeks and ecological diversity.

make a POINT of returning ALL of the compromized GREEN BELT lands to their original protected status AND QUIT DRAINING WETLANDS (in particular HOLLAND MARSH for a stupid highway)

please…..Restore the same protections for easements and covenants on the lands in the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve that they had before the 2022 amendment…..
The DRAP previously had 4 layers of protection:
The Greenbelt, the DRAP Act with its easements, the Central Pickering Development Plan and MZO 154/03.

I live in Ontario, and I "DO GIVE TWO HOOTS" about this!! Prime agricultural land and Greenbelt land must be protected. Do the right thing, Doug Ford. Thank you.
We recommend the following:
1 In addition to restoring the agricultural easements in the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve (DRAP), transfer the easements to an entity not controlled by the Province.
