I highly disagree with the removal of the existing bike lanes on University and Bloor

I am concerned that this bill is an inappropriate use of taxpayer funds to remove previously installed bike lanes. Taxpayer money would be better spent on speeding up construction and enforcing traffic violations

Stop pandering to suburbanites and keep our bike lanes. We need safety from dangerous drivers.

Cycling is a major form of transportation for people in Toronto. People are not just cycling for pleasure, they are trying to get to work or get their kids to school just like the drivers are. Lire davantage

My children and I use bike lanes to commute to school in downtown Toronto. Removing existing lanes is a ridiculous waste of funds and will not fix the traffic issues -- it will just make our commute unsafe, and add another car to the traffic since I'm not going to risk their lives. Lire davantage

Safe bike lanes are an essential part of any city. The existing bike lanes have reduced cyclist fatality and made biking for myself and my family a safe and reliable option of transportation. Lire davantage

Removing bike lanes will not reduce congestion, and will discourage new riders. I use the bloor and university lanes year round, and while I have the ability to drive choose to use my own bike or bike share for the majority of my transit around the city Lire davantage

The removal of lanes on bloor st west has created gridlock at all times of day. Not just rush hour. With very little bike traffic using these lanes. Lire davantage

I’ve lived by Bloor and Ossington before and after the addition of Bike lanes. This bill is very concerning to me. The car lane that was removed was never a through traffic lane. It was always blocked by parked cars. Lire davantage

There is no basis to remove bike lanes. Separating a 25-30 km/h bikes/escooters from 40km/h traffic isn’t just safer, it’s common sense. The biggest traffic issue on University has nothing to do with bikes, but a traffic programming issue that causes backup on cars turning on Elm. Lire davantage

If Premier Ford wanted to remove bike lanes in Toronto, he should have run for mayor or councillor. This is an abject waste of provincial political time and effort.

Hi, I am posting this in overwhelming support of keeping the existing bikelanes along Bloor, university, and college. As someone who lives on Bloor Street I have directly seen the improvement that the bike lane installation has caused in my intersection of Bloor/Islington. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are not your jurisdiction. That's all. Stick to important provincial priorities and not meddling in city politics.

Removing bicycling lanes will do nothing to help alleviate gridlock and traffic. The driving habits and disregard of the HTA of Ontarians are a bigger cause, alongside constant construction projects around the city.

Removing bike lanes in Toronto would be a counterproductive step that could ultimately reduce traffic flow and negatively impact the city’s livability and accessibility. Bike lanes serve as a dedicated, safe space for cyclists, allowing them to avoid the main flow of vehicle traffic. Lire davantage

This is a disgusting misuse of tax payer funds. Stops wasting the money Ontarians work hard to provide.

Getting more cars off the roads is the best way to support the environment as well as save people time on their commutes. We need to invest in alternatives to car traffic like cycling and public transit. Lire davantage
