If you want to reduce gridlock you need to introduce alternate transportation methods OTHER than driving. By ripping out bike lanes it will result in further congestion. as a province and country we need to move away from suburban sprawl, and it's not a political statement it's an economic one. This policy will kill children. It will kill people who choose to ride a bike. This is insane. Why the hell are we doing this please do not pass this bill. This is very bad.

I use the Yonge bike lane almost daily. Ripping it out will only cause me to take up an entire lane of traffic instead of the dedicated bike lane. This will not reduce the amount of traffic as us bikers will instead take up a lane instead.

It is ridiculous that the province is even considering this bill. There is no justification for: - Adding additional red tape to cities who should be spending their time and effort addressing the housing crisis Lire davantage

This bill would cost the province millions of dollars while decreasing safety and increasing congestion. It is a massive government overreach that shows the Ford government does not care about Ontarians.

As someone who relies on the bike lanes in Toronto to be able to quickly move around the city while reducing my carbon footprint this bill is disgusting. It is a massive step backwards for sustainable living and development. Lire davantage

Bike lanes should not be removed. More (safe) lanes and networks should be installed. This would result in more use and a healthier population in the long run.

This is an awful bill. I bike, I live just off Bloor. I don't regularly use cycling lanes, because 1) they lack connectivity 2) They are incomplete. The area right near my house, the lane is merged with car traffic. Lire davantage

Many studies show bike lanes reduce congestion. Allowing bike lanes to be ripped up will only increase congestion. I'm strongly against this law, as should anyone be who is serious about fixing this city.

Murdering cyclists in a useless, expensive, infantile rage is certainly one way to try to get re-elected

Roads like Bloor Street, Yonge Street, and University Avenue are not meant to be highways that people in the suburbs use to drive downtown. Instead, they are supposed to main streets that encourage local retail and activity. Removing bike lanes is a step in the wrong direction in 2024. Lire davantage

This bill should not be passed. Bike lanes actually help reduce congestion. More care lanes cause worse congestion. This is because it realizes latent demand. increasing car ridership. This latent demand also applies to bike lanes. Lire davantage

A reduction in bike lanes on a specific street must have an alternate route specified nearby with strong , appropriate signage to divert bikes from the affected street onto a safe, side street. Lire davantage

Stay in your own lane Doug Ford! I am tired of your obsession with the city of Toronto. We rejected you as mayor for a reason and since then you've made it your purpose to alter it to fit your outdated 'vision'. Lire davantage

Saves us a lot of time travelling dt especially as cabs are expensive and not something we are willing to pay for everyday. The bike pass is only 150 for the year compared to spending over 600 a month on cabs or 100 a month on the TTC for the same commute. Lire davantage

This is a step in the wrong direction, bringing our infrastructure back to the 90s. Worse than that, you will introduce more fatalities, by telling drivers they own the road, and can take what they want. They will eventually kill someone family member and just say sorry. Lire davantage
