This is a waste of tax dollars, is not based at all in science or common observation, and is a blatant and obvious wedge issue. Why don't you try and help the people of Ontario (yes, that include urban Torontonians who just want to get to work safely by bike, walking, subway etc.)?

This is absolutely ridiculous. I cannot believe we would waste tax payer money to remove a vital mode of transportation just to create more space for cars. Isn’t Toronto a green city? Should we not be promoting alternative modes of transportation? We need to think beyond just next ten years. Lire davantage

If enacted, the removal of bike lanes will impact my ability to use my bicycle to get to my destination in the vicinity of my residence. Currently, I'll bike anywhere up to 16 km away. Lire davantage

This is a horrible idea. Non motorized vehicle (walking, pedestrian, etc) traffic has been shown over and over again to reduce the traffic on small roads. By getting rid of bike lanes you are putting cyclists who will be forced to ride in the road at risk and you will increase congestion. Lire davantage

Keep the bike lane and develop more. Why a car has the privilege over everything, every one? People who is on a bike, people who's walking, people who's using public transportation are also tax payer. Why we should get cut out every time? Never mind the pollution from cars. Lire davantage

No red tap and bureaucracy Bill 212 will just slow down local governments across all of Ontario providing essential and alternative modes of transportation. People should have the freedom to choose their preferred mode of transportation. Essential transportation infrastructure Lire davantage

Once the bike lanes on Bloor Street West were extended, that route became my safe way to get to work five days a week. Until then biking in traffic and sharing the road along Bloor especially at Yonge was dangerous and not enjoyable. Lire davantage

I have the following points to make around this proposed initiative: 1. Traffic times with the installation of bike lanes have not increased significantly since their installation. So 'common sense' tells us their removal will not significantly reduce automobile travel times. Lire davantage

Disgusting, what about the people who dont use motor vehicles. You should think about them. Through this you are promoting more automobile vehicle.

Banning bike lanes to relieve traffic congestion shows a profound misunderstanding of how urban transportation works. After all the DVP is congested and there are no bike lanes. Lire davantage
