I do not support this. "Saving you time" equals cutting corners and damaging the city and environment, and it's wrong. Stop this insult to democracy and this absolute campaign of lying and greed. Lire davantage

I am a 65 year old woman living in east york, work at a TDSB school. Ever since bike lanes have been installed I feel more confident and safe to ride my bicycle to commute to/from work, do all the grocery shopping and get around the city. Lire davantage

I don't agree with this Bill allowing highways to be built without proper environmental assessments. Don't pass this Bill.

I am a woman who bikes in the city for Transportation. When I am on roads without bikes lanes it is a common occurrence for Male drivers to ‘pretend’ to attempt to hit me with their cars. Aggressively intimidate me with their vehicles off the road. Lire davantage

I think that this proposed bill demonstrates a gross overstepping of provincial authority into affairs which are entirely municipal and in no way represent a provincial matter. Lire davantage

I feel much healthier when I bike to work - and I feel safer when there is a bike lane. It seems absurd that the province is getting involved in regulation around bike lanes. It's the cities responsibility to decide how to organize their roads. Lire davantage

This legislation will have the opposite effect of what it intends, making traffic worse for everybody (including those who are currently complaining about the bike lanes), leading to more deaths and injuries, and it will make it harder for me to spend money in the parts of Toronto that I bike to usi Lire davantage

I just moved to Toronto and live near Christie Pits. As a new student at the University of Toronto law school, I have biked to class every single day (rain or shine) often on Bloor. Lire davantage

This bill seems unessesary at the Provincial level. Ontario should not micromanage its municipalities.

Improved bicycle infrastructure induces demand for cycling which means fewer cars on the roads. Fewer cars means less traffic and improved safety. Improving safety, increasing traffic flow, and saving money. Lire davantage

I am a senior bike rider. Removing bike lanes will endanger my life and those of my loved ones. Research has repeatedly shown that widening road makes congestion worse Lire davantage

It is important to me that Toronto has bike lanes in as many places as possible. Bike lanes keep cyclists safe, and the safety of cyclists is far more important than potentially cutting a few minutes off traffic.

This is a horrible plan. I need bike lanes and I need them protected.

On some roads where bike lane is proposed to be removed .. there is a median like parts of Bloor St west and on University Avenue it's wider than 20 feet so why not repurpose that for automotive driving lane then removing bike lane & purposefully putting bicyclist in harms way !

Adding traffic lanes has been shown not to reduce congestion. Also, the building of highways can destroy ecosystems and harm human communities. The impact is often strongest on low income communities. We have processes in place to protect people and the environment. Lire davantage

I am opposed to amendments in Bill 212 in regard to the approximate 48 million dollars, as stated by CBC, required to remove the current bike lanes on Toronto streets. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 212, the Reducing Gridlock, Saving You Time Act. I am deeply concerned about the potential implications this bill poses for urban mobility, transportation equity, and environmental sustainability in Ontario. Lire davantage

This is a horrible plan. Taking the land of others without their consent is abhorrent. Improving local transit and encouraging the use of public transportation will reduce gridlock. Plowing down people’s homes and land will not solve this.

To reduce the gridlock in Toronto we need to reduce the number of private cars in our roads. This is the proven way worldwide. Lire davantage
