I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I believe local decision making is an important part to conservation, and merging so many regions into one will dilute decisions making which is targeted to the specific regions. I would like to see additional details on this plan.

I think this absolutely the wrong direction. Conservation is universal but a local focus is essential for successful maintenance.
This makes the process way to distant from the communities that want conservation in their locales.

I do not support this proposal. I agree with the comments already submitted by the Hamilton Conservation Authority and believe that strong local decision-making over local conservation areas matters most.

Please protect and preserve our natural green spaces... We don't need more homes or buildings. We need more forests, fresh air, and less man-made problems.
I do NOT support the proposed boundaries for the regional consolidation of ontario’s conservation authorities. My concern is clear: as systems grow, it becomes harder to protect local priorities and ensure local voices remain central to future decisions.
Once again, the government is increasing its power without respecting the authority of local communities. I do NOT agree with this plan. My local priorities will NOT be met with this type of amalgamation.
I write to voice my support for the public statement provided by the Hamilton Conservation Authority in opposition to the proposed merger of conservation authorities.

I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO against the amalgamation of the Conservation Areas.
Past amalgamations forced by the Province at the Municipal level caused more problems than they solved, and the promised cost savings & efficiencies never materialized.
