Please leave the Region of Waterloo’s official plan intact and approve the exact wording and sustainability concepts that received such strong support from the Region’s municipalities. Waterloo Region has a bold, visionary plan that is important to keep as is.
I absolutely support the bold and visionary Regional Official Plan put forward here and feel confident it reflects the desires of the most people, will support a livable future for the most people, and will put Waterloo at the cutting-edge of sustainable development.

Please continue to write policy that protects our children’s access to natural spaces and sustainable land development. Maintain our greenbelt and wetlands. Maintain policies that keep developers from buying these integral natural spaces.
I fully support the Region of Waterloo's development plan setting density targets in certain areas, limiting urban sprawl by observing the countryside line and preserving our vital farmland and natural areas and wetlands.

As a long time Waterloo Resident, I have always been impressed with the planning and decisions of the municipal government. I do not approve of the provincial government interfering with the local process.
The ROP for Waterloo Region is excellent, has gone through a wonderful process of input from all municipalities, contributes to the sustainability and priorities of the people of Waterloo.

Critical transportation infrastructure - Breslau Go Station appears missing from the submission. This was listed as provincial priority. The area around the Greenhouse Road and Kramp Road to Shantz Station should be density housing as per the 800 meters radius policy around a Go Station.

The goal of transit and commuting, linking Toronto to Waterloo is not seen in this proposal.
While local transit for LRT and densities around the stations seems balanced, the transit mostly used by employees from Toronto to Waterloo and vice versa is heavily missing and unaccounted for.
