I oppose this motion. With climate change heavily effecting wildlife, we don't need to contribute to species decline by destroying natural habitats. Canada is a beautiful country, let's keep it that way. We don't need to sell our country for a cheap buck in private pockets.

I oppose Bill 5. I want strong protections for the environment from my government. I oppose shortcuts for industry. Ecosystems are essential for the economy.
I do not agree with this bill. The endangered species act is there for a reason. The future for our children and grandchildren includes an environment. Any short term gains aren't worth it.
I am incredibly disappointed and frightened of the implications of this proposal. It will gut the Endangered Species Act essentially allowing companies to destroy wildlife, vital habitat, and places Ontarians have loved for centuries.

If a developer finds that endangered species are preventing him building he can get the government to remove this species from the list and begin building killing the species and the environment.

Changing this reeks of greed and corporate payouts. Protecting our environment and endangered species should not be compromised by this sham of a proposal.
This is a terrible Bill and I wholeheartedly oppose it as a taxpayer, voter, and resident of Ontario. We must do everything in our power to conserve and protect other species. Biodiversity is critical to our survival.
It is important that legislation is updated in order to continuously improve it, but the proposed changes to Ontario’s Endangered Species Act are concerning for several reasons.
