Generalizing exemptions for at-risk and endangered species and ecosystems is unnecessary.
I might support specific exemptions or exclusions, but that support would depend on transparency, public consultation and science.

Please commit to protecting endangered species by prioritizing scarce habitat and promoting vulnerable species. I have been a summer resident at Wasaga Beach my entire life and in recent years, I have volunteered with Birds Canada to protect the Piping Plovers.

I oppose Bill 5. I want strong environmental protections. I oppose shortcuts for industry with no public or little public oversight. I oppose overriding the law in special economic zones.
There is no reason to put so much at risk for slim benefits. Sustainable and mindful development can happen without massive shifts in power and disgraceful actions against the indigenous people who live here.

I feel like stronger environmental protections should be in order and Bill 5 doesn’t provide that, it seems to weaken them. We should be proud of protecting our endangered spices, not selling off lands to the highest bidder.
