Most of Dresden is a flood zone, which is very concerning due to potentially contaminated water from the dump location. It is entirely too close to town and waterways that drain into much bigger watersheds. Read more

The proposed size of this dump is massive. The amount of trucks hauling garbage here will be huge. Our community is not designed to handle a large amount of trucks, every day of every year. This dump will ruin Dresden. Don’t ruin our community. Be for the people. Read more

Don’t go back on your word Ford. We already fought for an environmental assessment and it’s crazy we’re having to do it all over again a year later. We want to keep our family, friends, community and environment safe. Would you put this in your backyard? I don’t think so.

I do not understand why this government wants to exempt itself from laws and regulations designed to protect people, places and the natural world. It's unacceptable that environmental assessments are skipped. The landfill will affect generations. Read more

1. I am a simple person and citizen of Dresden; I am not in favour of Removing Environmental Assessment Requirements for the York1 Waste Disposal Site Project on the doorstep of my home town of Dresden. It’s too close to my urban community. The property York1 owns is very near my home. Read more

Please do not include the repeal of Ontario Regulation 284/24 within Bill 5. A full and comprehensive Environmental Assessment is needed at 29831 Irish School Road, Dresden, ON before this property can be considered for a landfill, recycling facility and waste facility. Read more
