This proposed amendment throws out environmental protection and Indigenous reconciliation in favour of private developers. This is not a public focused amendment but rather bulldozes any community bonds that already exist. Please do not move forward with this.

This entire plan ignores Section 35 of the Canadian Constitution, and is going to be breaking a multitude of laws. 13,000+ years of Indigenous history is going to be lost, just so developers can circumvent some red tape. Read more

Destroying the environment for monetary gain is short sighted and trampling consultation with First Nations communities is not right. Agreements have been made for consultations with First Nations on projects affecting their territory and willfully ignoring that to make money is not OK.
