I have seen piping plovers at Sauble beach and how some Canadians want to protect their habitat. It is one of their goals as people who care a lot about wildlife and the environment. The Ontario government needs to care about endangered species and wild places or some people will lose hope. Read more

I do not agree with the Ontario government's decision to remove 148 acres of waterfront property from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. As I am writing this, I am stuck inside due to unsafe air quality caused by climate change. Read more

Do not sell off our land!!!!! This land belongs to everyone in Ontario and should be enjoyed by everyone in Ontario. Our provincial parks are protected for a reason. Keep your grubby hands off our land!!!!?

Please don't allow this wonderful expanse of beach fall into the hands of developers. What a terrible precedent to set for Ontario parks. Nancy Island needs restoration, but as an informative site of events that are part of our nation's history. Read more

Changing Provincial Park boundaries and access to Wasaga Beach seems criminal - environmentally and morally. Selling off publicly owned land is reprehensible. Selling off publicly owned land to friends, political donors etc is criminal. The Greenbelt and Wasaga should not be for sale!

We do NOT agree with this proposal. Doug Ford, take your hands off the beach! Step away from our Provincial Parks. This is not in Wasaga Beach's interest, but serves your government's need to pander to big developers in order to preserve your power. Read more

I have been rudely informed that the Ontario government is proposing to sell key parts of Ontario’s second most-visited Provincial Park (2023 data) for a development scheme. I find this deeply troubling that a government wants to privatize public lands for the sake of profit. Read more

I’m writing Because i am concerned about the proposed action being taken at wasaga beach that will negatively impact the vital habitat and security of the piping plover. I urge you to consider how valuable our natural resources are for future generations and act accordingly. Read more

I'm disgusted. Selling off Provincial Park land to developers. Another money and power grab by the Ford government. Provincial Parks are they for a reason, and they are protected for a reason! Read more

On behalf of myself as an Ontario lawyer senior resident, I strongly oppose the idea of selling part of Wasaga provincial park presently being used as a nesting ground for endangered piping plovers and a playground for park visitors to build condos for the tourist industry and as country homes for r Read more

I would like to anonymously oppose this outrageous amendment to the provincial parks and conservation reserves act. There is already lots of tourism as accommodation nearby in other communities along the route to and fro that premiere tourist destination of our blue mountains and the Bruce trail. Read more

The natural and cultural heritage of Wasaga Beach are not supported by increased tourism or ‘economic’ growth. Like many other uniquely beautiful locations in the province, Wasaga Beach appeals to many people, including locals, because of its lack of big, money-oriented development. Read more

It would be irresponsible to deprive the piping plovers of the limited areas of natural beach habitat they have in Wasaga Beach. The wellbeing of this species is severely threatened and it should be given more habitat instead of depriving of what it has presently.

Please conserve piping plover habitat! This iconic species is important to people like me. By degrading their habitat, gains that were made in their population numbers may reverse. Read more

The proposed regions to be given over to the town make no sense. The only logical reason to take those areas, New Wasaga, Beach areas 1 & 2 are simply for commercial greed and gentrification. Read more
