Our children deserve to see the wildlife we grew up seeing. Through removing the provincial protections of Wasaga Beach, we leave the Piping Plover vulnerable to losing their habitat. Provincial support is key in helping to keep these birds thriving. Read more

I am opposed to the proposal to remove Nancy Island and other parts of Wasaga Beach from the PPCRA and their transfer to MTCG control. I also oppose the sale of crown lands. Read more

Curious choice as there has been a push for decades to protect the area due to the endangered piping plover and the threatened hog nose snake. While tourism is important and can help the community it should not be at the sake of protected species. Read more

Hi, increasing tourism and development must not come at the expense of destroying habitat critical to the survival of other species, such as Piping Plovers. The Ontario government needs to protect nature not undermine it. Read more

I don’t think using part of the park or beach is a great move it’s taking away from everyone and giving part of it to people that will own houses there just for themselves,

This is a tragic idea for so many reasons. The city does not have the tax base to maintain the proper care and there are no indications that environmental protections will be in place. The park is special because of its vast, unique shoreline and this proposal compromises that.

I worry that this means that Ford’s government will ultimately be privatizing public land, and that it will be sold or leased to developers which will Ruin the natural environment and prob mic access. Like when the spa cut down all the old growth trees at Ontario place. Read more

The Town of Wasaga is in over its head in dealing with growth & expansion! Can’t even get a main road built properly connecting both ends of the Town! Expansion is needed but not just at Beach 1. Read more
