I disagree with the proposal overall. While I can appreciate the provincial government providing funds to help restore Nancy Island, I believe it should remain under the control of the town. Read more

As a resident of Wasaga Beach, while I support the revitalization of the downtown area, I certainly do NOT Support the idea of transferring any type of ownership of our provincial park /beach areas to the local municipality. Read more

The proposal to transfer land from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the Town of Wasaga Beach is a bad idea and should be abandoned. The lands include almost half of the beachfront portion of the park and some of the best piping plover habitat in the park. Read more

Provincial Parks including Wasaga Beach Park belong to all peoples of Ontario and must stay protected by Ontario Provincial Parks Regulations in order to protect environment and wild life. We must keep the Wasaga Beach Provincial Park away from greedy hands of the developers.

Please keep Wasaga Beach under provincial control. The Piping plover is under enormous stress and this is the last successful breeding beach left in Ontario. Please consider the importance of this area for this endangered species. Read more

This area is essential for the conservation of Piping Plovers in Ontario, the loss of this site will likely result in the extirpation of the species from the province, as this is the only stronghold population. Read more

My concerns are about the survival of Piping Plovers. Wasaga Beach is vital breeding habitat for them, when there are few natural beaches left. In order to provide safe habitat for the Piping Plovers to nest and raise their young, I request that the provincial government: Read more

Please do not do this. We dont have much plover habitat like this left in Ontario and to put a piece of our ecosystem at a risk, is pulling another piece from a jenga tower. Eventually if enough pieces are pulled, our ecosystem will collapse.
