I am a biologist and I worked with the endangered Piping Plover for two years. I worked with the Plovers on beaches in this region and I see the substantial impacts these birds face on the shoreline. There isn't enough beach and sand for these birds to forage and lay their nest.

Provincial parks are supposed to preserve the environment for birds & nature. Piping Plover is one bird that will be at risk in Wasaga Beach if these changes are done. Please do not proceed with this proposal.

I support transfer of park properties to the town of Wasaga Beach with the stipulations that it most remain in public domain with public access and never be sold to private developers.
I am strongly opposed to the proposed transfer. Municipal politics are problematic, susceptible to the influence of "developers" who can manipulate municipal politicians with alarming frequency.

I am shocked that the Ontario government is proposing to sell roughly 60% of the Wasaga Beach shoreline contained within the provincial park. This is so exasperating. The citizens of Ontario require and deserve access to natural spaces within reasonable distances of crowded urban areas.
