Please don’t do this! I spent countless days wandering the beaches of Wasaga… please keep the space public for future generations!

Wasaga beach is to small for the residents to enjoy and our taxes are being spent with little coming back other than for tourism You can’t even drive from one end to the other without major traffic and noise and the city road rage drivers are fast and dangerous Read more

Canadians already struggle to afford being outside their own houses. Taking away even more public space from us is criminal, especially if what you're selling off is protected wilderness. We need our outdoor spaces, we need our beaches, we need our forests. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act and the Historical Parks Act that would facilitate the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Public land, especially protected areas, must not be sacrificed for private development. Read more

Wasaga beach or any provincial land used by the public in wasaga beach should not be sold. Developers will destroy their heritage and natural environment of this are for their own profit and not the best interests of the people of Ontario!

Please stop selling the future. I fully support development and building housing, but let’s draw the line at destroying these important green spaces. These places matter for people like me who don’t have access to private green spaces. We need these public parks for everyone!!!!

I disagree with the decision to sell Wasaga beach 1&2 to the town. Currently the season pass for Wasaga beach is good for all 6 beach areas. Will it now be only good for 2/3 of it ? Will people have to pay for accessing beach 1&2 if they have an Ontario parks pass. Read more

We need more provincial park land, not less. Please do not proceed with any proposals that take land away from the parks.

We need to protect the critically endangered Piping Plover population at Wasaga Beach. Stop the pandering and subservience to commercial interests by not allowing the sale of public lands to wealthy developers. Protect our natural land. Thanks

I strongly oppose the selling of land proposed here. We need to strengthen protection of our natural spaces rather than sell it off! We need to invest in increased protection & parks rather than decrease their size.

This is a terrible plan. There are already so few public spaces for humans and other creatures to enjoy and as we crowd more humans into smaller and smaller homes the need for these refuges only grows. Read more

This act is proposed “ protect the area's natural and cultural heritage”, however that will not be the reality. If MECP legislative amendment proposal is approved, to remove portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, this will DESTROY the areas natural land with construction and development. Read more

I wish the Ford government would stop meddling in places they don’t need to. Once again this is a blatantly obvious cash grab, How about you stop trying to develop new projects using our tax dollars that are supposed to be allocated for programs that you have been destroying. Read more

The Provincial Parks system is essential to Ontario's wellness, both as a home and an ecosystem. If we make way for what may seem like even a small allowance of land sales, we are paving the way for the eventual loss of all of these truly important places. Read more
