There is more housing need in urban areas than in cottage country. Limit AirBNBs or increase tax significantly on them , as they are not permanent homes by housing rich strangers 1or 2 nights who already have a home. These renters do not contribute long term to a community. Read more

Stop selling off our land like you've done in the Greenbelt in the Pickering area. Leave Wasaga Beach alone for our kids and grandkids. You have enough money Premiere Ford.

“They paved paradise and put up a parking lot!” That’s what I hear when I read this. Please do not transfer any portion of our beautiful Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks to the Town of Wasaga Beach as they DO NOT have the best interest of our environment and nature in mind. Read more

The current Council of Wasaga Beach has been actively intimidating and criticizing any one who does not agree with its policies. It has taken on the role of saving tourism at the cost of not improving the town for its full time residents. Most residents do not want to see a “ Miami” north here. Read more

Overall I just generally dislike this proposal. I think our parks should be protected, and land should not be sold off just to help promote tourism. A lot of tourists that come to Canada come for our parks!

This is a terrible idea. Wasaga Beach is one of the longest freshwater beaches in the world and should be regarded as a National Treasure. Once this land is designated for development there is no going back. Read more

Please don’t do this - we don’t need it. The earth is precious and we should treat it as so. Look at how bad the Ontario place looks, I miss walking through it and being submerged in Nature outside the city. We need to respect nature, not destroy it for our friends in high places!

Haven’t we learned enough from our past mistakes. This is simply a make work project. Making those who work on it look good, that have no care for future generations Keep Wasaga Beach the way it is. Wasaga can barely handle the visitors it has now. Read more

I do not support the development of Wasaga Beach for tourist or recreation purposes. The beach is critical and fragile nesting habitat for the endangered piping plover, which is an indicator species and it's well-being is massively important. Read more

Please do not make the proposed changes to the governance of Nancy Island and to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park in general. Our natural environment sorely needs protection - have you not experienced the impact of climate change yourself? Read more

How will you be increasing the tourism economy by destroying the very reason people are drawn to Ontario in the first place? Read more

Hey Ford! Please focus on rebuilding old, unused buildings/parking lots that are within city limits, and STOP TRYING TO GET RID OF OUR NATURE RESERVES AND FARMLAND. Our children would like to grow up in beautiful prosperous lands, not a concrete jungle. Read more

Parkland and natural places must be protected for this and future generations. The world is intense and nature is a way of soothing one’s soul. Wildlife matters. Quit stripping it away Doug Ford.

Absolutely unacceptable to try and sell of Wasaga to the highest bidder for development. Against this with every bone in my body. No, no, no to this legislation.

I support keeping the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act the same. I do not support making changes to these acts in order to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Read more

This is a concerning piece of legislation. As someone who has enjoyed the free and open access to Wasaga Beach for my entire life, I am appalled by this proposal. Once this piece of provincial park is privatized, there’s no going back. Read more

Absolutely ridiculous. Stop selling off all our public lands to your grifter buddies. There is no joy in living surrounded by asphalt and concrete. We need public parkland for recreation, protection from ongoing weather events and to preserve irreplaceable parts of our ecosystem. Read more

Public property is not for sale! We can't fight America by following American policy descisions. Ontario parks are for the public to enjoy and to protect places for wildlife and future generations. They are not for select wealthy investors.

No please don’t be selling public land that is used by Public to enjoy the beaches & water to towns & cities to capitalize on it. There is very little left for people to enjoy without spending exorbitant money on. These are hard times for people with & without families. Read more
