Please do not do this. Presently the CAO and our mayor of Wasaga Beach have not been promoting small businesses and tourism. If they are given this opportunity, it will be not the wish of the taxpayers of Wasaga beach. Read more

Stop taking land and selling it to developers. Wasaga Beach and all other Provincial Parks should be preserved for future generations to enjoy. I vote to preserve the environment, and keep our waters clean. This land we enjoy is not ours to sell off. We didn’t vote for this. Read more

Please do not open up any of our protected parks and lands for profit! The economy is not as important as our environment. I, an Ontario citizen, vehemently oppose this proposal.

As a concerned Ontarian, I urge you to preserve Nancy Island as a Class A park under MECP while empowering MTCG to manage heritage programming. This approach offers the best of both worlds: maximum cultural exposure without compromising environmental integrity. Read more

I find this proposal very distasteful. Removing protected natural areas in parks, parks that the citizens of Ontario own, not the PC government, is incredibly disrespectful. I think this is akin to the attempted sell-off of the Greenbelt. Read more

I oppose this amendment. Provincial parks are important for protecting land and wildlife found on this land, something that a town with tourists interests in minds would not be. This could also lead to the lands becoming less accessible to people who want to enjoy mature. Read more

Stop selling to investors. This is canadian land- it is for the people, the residents and the indigenous community. This should never be for profit. What else will we have if canada was privately owned?

What is wrong with you Doug Ford and all the MPP who support this. You guys are evil and I don’t want provincial parks be given to developers. You guys need to make life affordable by realizing tax returns from ultra rich. Grow a spine and do a decent job

I have concerns with this proposal. This area is a nesting ground for the piping plover, an endangered species.

No. Just no. Please stop selling, developing or taking land away that we can NEVER get back just for a quick dollar. Is this really the Ontario you want your grandchildren to live in? A mass of concrete and steel?

Provincial parks are important for tourism and should be valued. Passive recreation and outdoor recreation are necessary at different stages of aging. Parks are also environmental ecosystems - connected to air and water quality. Wildlife (endangered or not) also have rights. Read more

I do not support the development on any conservation areas, provincial or national park land. Surrounding areas have already been built up more than enough, destroying valuable habitat for species at risk and other animals. Stop with the greed.

I am against these proposed changes. These lands have been protected and part of this provincial park for a reason. Opening them up allows harm to endangered species and the land itself. We do not need to speed up the climate crisis any more than what humanity has already done to this planet. Read more
