Please do not destroy the parks that bring so many people to this area. People want to visit parks not concrete. Please preserve the nature and beautiful land that provides a home to so much of our wildlife. Read more

Our public lands should be just that, PUBLIC. There is no reason to sell these lands when they are proven to be loved and used by not just the people of this country but by tourists as well. Read more

Beach 1 from Spruce St to the River should be left as it is. Public parking, picnic areas and boat launch. The dunes and natural plants should remain protected from any development. It's important to protect the Plover nesting habitat. The very last thing we need are more condos. Read more

It is so important at this time where water is become tainted and scarce in other parts of North America, that we continue to protect freshwater, and our ecosystems. This will make tourism in the area worse before it gets better. Read more

Why take away natural parks when there is plenty of housing available in Toronto??? Why do we need more buildings when there are plenty of buildings empty? It doesn't make sense! Leave nature alone please!

As a Taxpayer & long standing resident of Ontario- it maddens me to continually read about the criminal provincial government we have. Complete disregard for the law & our long standing environmental protections. Read more

As s child my Grandmother's owned 2 cottages on 1st Avenue Brocks Beach. It was magical place to grow up spending summers in late 1940s. The birds on the beach ,known as plovers would run in and out with the tidal waves and gave great interest and enjoyment, however their numbers dwindled sadly. Read more

I don’t support the sale of public land to private developers. This land is owned by the taxpayers and citizens of Ontario, for all to enjoy for generations to come. I believe that this is very short sighted and a cash grab by the Ford Government, to again line the pockets of corporate donors. Read more

Keep you hands OFF our provincial parks. We value our wildlife and preserving our ecosystems. Selling off provincial parks is an irreversible decision that you should have no right to make. Read more

I oppose the amendment being put forth by the provincial government of Ontario, Doug Ford. This is just a way to subvert the protection of vital green space for profit.

The public parks need to remain free for generations to come, selling off our shared assets to the highest bidder for today has short term gains while limiting green space and access for the future. I am not in support of this measure

Ensure that there still remains protections for the environment and limits for what can be built there and who can own the land in the long term. Ensure it remains in the hands of the city and not sold off to private enterprises or persons, and complies to ecological preservation legislation.

This proposal sets a very bad precedent. Why would we want our precious provincial parks sold to developers? Putting aside the very real threat to species (like the piping plover at Wasaga), provincial parks are important to people. Read more

This proposal will ruin the beach. The town has already destroyed historical buildings. The impact on the wildlife and the endangered Pipping Plovers nesting spaces will be devastating. This is just another move from a corrupt council to destroy what’s left of our Wasaga waterfront

Thank you for taking the time to read my comment. Part of what makes Wasaga beach so successful is the proximity to nature and the beauty of the ecosystem in and around the beach. Read more

Parkland in any shape of form should absolutely not be sold for development. Wasaga Beach’s parkland is accessible to all and needs to remain that way as well. It is also vital that the wildlife and plants in this parkland habitat be allowed to thrive and not opened to development. Read more

Don’t give any part of the Wasaga Beach provincial parks, to the town. Keep it controlled and maintained by the province.
