Wasaga Beach is an important ecological location and should be protected under the parks and conservation areas act. Removing this protection would undermine the ecosystems created in the area and lower tourism.

My family vacations in Ontario parks every year. It brings us closer together and closer to our Canadian history. Its one of the few things left that I feel genuinely proud of my country for having. Please do not set a precedent for destroying. Dont sell what will not be bought back.

Please consider the well being of the piping plover population when making decisions about Wasaga Beach. These birds are very precious and important for our ecosystems.

Piping plovers are vital to our world and ecosystems. I am not in agreement with this sand removal from Wasaga Beach which would leave plovers without habitat. Please stop this development.

It is vital that the Piping Plover’s habitat be protected. Therefore, it is incumbent upon the Province of Ontario to support habitat conservation in the event of any land transfer.

I'm totally against the Ford's government proposed changes to the Provincial Park and Conservation Reserve Act in regards to Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Parks are meant to be protected forever. Local wildlife and their environment would be put a risk for what , profit ? Read more

The land should remain in custody of the parks. It is their jurisdiction. Enough of this greed and destruction.

We need to protect Wasaga’s wildlife and biodiversity. It is not only a critical part of protecting our environment and planet, but a key component of tourism and economic development in the area. These areas must be protected and preserved.

Provincial parks and conservation land should be off limits to development. This is shared land and belongs to all of us. For environmental and cultural stability do not touch these lands

This should not be allowed to happen. The rich getting richer is not what the provincial gov’t should be supporting. Ford and his gov’t do not care about the environment, species or any of us with this decision. Kindly reconsider.

I am concerned that the proposed changes will eliminate key safeguards designed to protect parklands. I am concerned that the changes will threaten the sensitive coastal dune systems. Read more

I am opposed to the sale of any of Wasaga Beach. Ontario has made enough moves recently that put our environment more at risk, this simply isn't worth it and honestly sounds like something Trump would do. Leave our provincial parks alone!

This land belongs to the public and should never be sold to developers. Privitization of land belonging to citizens is an inappropriate use of our collective resources. In addition, it is ecologically irresponsible to develop a sensitive, protected habitat. Read more

I strongly oppose this proposal. It is essential that traditional natural areas and traditional recreational areas in this province be maintained and their protection should even be enhanced. Read more

This plan should not go through. All our provincial parks, in their protected and conserved state, already attract tourists. Wasaga in particular is the most popular provincial park in Ontario. Read more
