Biodiversity is the best thing about ontario, if we lose that we have nothing. To destroy piping plovers habitat on Wasaga beach is despicable, these innocent creatures deserve a home just as much as anybody else! Read more

I oppose the proposed changes to Wasaga Beach provincial park. This would be detrimental to an important natural site. Our province is not for sale, our provincial parks are not for sale, and our environment is not for sale.

The park should stay protected. There should not be any question here. Do not sell off the land to developers!

The Ford government is going too far in allowing development. We are losing too much by developing environmentally sensitive areas such as provincial parks, including Wasaga Beach. Read more

Provincial park land is crucial to the health and wellness of all species living in Ontario and abroad- including human beings. The removal of this amount of habitat would be devastating for all.

One of the most valuable and sacred parts of living in Ontario is its access to nature. I’ve seen firsthand waterfronts which have been privatized in cities like Miami and waterfronts which have remained free and accessible in cities like Chicago. Read more

Wasaga Beach, the longest fresh water beach in the world, is a unique treasure to be cherished and enjoyed for generations to come. The magnificent sand dunes alone, composed of relic sand (all the sand we’ll ever have is here now never able to be renewed), are irreplaceable. Read more

Disgusted that this has been proposed, especially on land where so much effort to save the piping plover has been made. What are we thinking? It all comes down to money/greed. Shame on you. Read more

Do not let this parkland be sold off and subdivided. This is "Park land" and should remain in this state. This land was dedicated to the people of Ontario Canada and should remain in this state. Ontario needs to maintain it's natural beauty. Thank you. Read more

Please protect our provincial parkland - do not sell to developers. I strongly oppose the proposed amendments to the acts which allow for part of protected lands to be built on.

I believe the proposed transfer of the land in Wasaga Beach would be a poor decision as it would set a precedent for future transfers of land which would put our parks at risk. We have so much beautiful public park space and protected land in Ontario which many citizens enjoy daily. Read more
