I do not think any portion of Wasaga beach should be sold for private use. My family was poor growing up and the only vacation I ever went on was to this beach because it was an affordable trip. Ontario families should not lose portions of this beach, in order for corporate owners to profit.

What about the environmental impact? Why must a group whose mission it is to help protect the environment give up control to help bring more investments to the area? How will this impact the environment and the animals and plants that inhabit the area? Read more

I am vehemently opposed to this proposal. This government is paid to do its job by the people of Ontario and yet fails to actually listen to what the people want. Read more

This areas habitat cannot be destroyed like Ontario Place has been! There are areas that need to remain natural and protected. This is essential for the balance between nature and where humans occupy space. Read more

Please leave our provincial parks alone. Have some respect for the places that are still wild, the importance they have to our environment and culture, and for the people who use them. You do not have a mandate to do this. Read more

It's unbelievable that the Ford government wants to sell off more of our beaches and provincial parks to developers. Ford has already destroyed our Ontario science center. How much more does he plan on destroying this province?

The Ford government needs to understand that they did not win a majority of voters. The majority of Ontario citizens, even the most conservative, do not want protected park land bequeathed to developer friends. This is pure corruption. Read more

Once again the Ontario government manages to make the worst possible decisions for the environment and the people of Ontario. Do NOT break up Wasaga Beach and the provincial park, leave our protected lands ALONE. Stop trying to pay back your developer buddies, it's just appalling.

Do not sell this land! We as a people have one chance and only one chance to preserve this land and the nature around it. There is more at stake than financial gain, money only last so long and looses value every day. The land and nature is forever. Read more

Please stop ruining our environment. Doug Ford only cares about lining his developer friends’ pockets. Sick of this bs. Soon there will be nothing but tall buildings and concrete. Sad that this monster was elected in the first place and then re-elected.

This is public land! Please do not privatize and remove this shared space. This proposal is against public interests. I am against this!

I am absolutely against this development. Leave wasaga exactly how it is. Stop destroying our environment for profit. We are destroying our world for our own children. My family’s future is not for sale.

What we don’t need is more tourism. What we need is care—less development, more protection. Help set up space for the community, not just to attract outsiders. Read more

We pay an extensive amount of taxes to both provincial and federal government. A sale of a high profile, and high utilization such as Wasaga Beach, should result in a reduction of on going taxes collected. Read more

We are vehemently opposed to turning over Ontario managed (under Ontario Parks) land over to the town of Wasaga Beach. The administration practically gave prime beachfront land away for a song recently, with zero transparency, feedback from the public. Read more
