The redevelopment of this land is critically important to the North End community, providing much-needed mixed-use housing near Hamilton's beautiful bayfront. I am utterly disgusted that CN Rail has obstructed this vital development with their insanely illogical and hypocritical reasons. Read more

This should've been settled long before closing the housing that was still being used. Red tape is what festoons this bureaucratic night mare which added to the homelessness issues of North end Hamilton. Proud of yourselves Canadian National? Read more

Hamilton needs affordable housing during this housing crisis, there is simply no denying this fact. The streets of the north end bear the pain of those suffering from homelessness, and residents all across Hamilton are facing steep rents and cost of living increases. Read more

Looking out for your neighbours includes those who are experiencing housing insecurity. I’ve lived in the area for 20 years and would love to see us maximize existing infrastructure to provide shelter and support to all our community members, especially those who are most vulnerable.

It is unacceptable that CN is using their corporate power to block housing for vulnerable families. There was a vibrant community there before the City of Hamilton closed it and no one had concerns about the shunting yard. Please use the Provincial powers to get this housing built! Read more

I am a lifelong Hamiltonian, and have always been dismayed by the waste of space and misuse of this housing opportunity. I would love nothing more than to see these buildings restored or rebuilt as affordable housing. These actions are long overdue.

The Janesville community needs this housing project to move forward. How can CN rail claim they care about the noise etc of the community when clearly people are buying and living and thriving along the entirety of the rail system in Janesville. Read more

I support the zoning order to have housing built on the site indicated. It's finally time we get something built for the community as we are in a housing crisis. Please pass this order and allow the city and its partners to build much needed housing.

Hamilton desperately needs more affordable housing, to block building becUse of its proximity to a train yard is absurd when there are other houses closer to the train yard. There's train tracks running through the whole city, citizens car heard the trains all over.
