Our city desperately needs housing. This site needs to be redeveloped because it is in a prime location. And it's current state is embarrassing, discouraging, and offensive; it represents the failure of our city to follow through on plans.

While I am very happy this area is finally being utilized, I am extremely disappointed that it will be both a) not entirely low income/geared to income housing, and b) that it will include high rises. The area will be overwhelmed. Why not entirely low/mid rise buildings?

North Ender's do not want this. We don't want apartments and subsidise housing/apartments. We always had issues with these units in the past and crime rate in the north end will go back to how it was in the late 90's early 2000's...

Hamilton desperately needs affordable housing. There has been housing by the rail line for decades. The CN case is nonsense. The Jamesville housing initiative should go ahead immediately.
The MZO in this location should be granted as soon as possible. The previous planning process identified height and capacity limits that should be honoured in order to maintain the integrity of the area.

The city recently rejected a proposal for the former Glen Echo School property citing that the development was too jarring for a neighbourhood that consisted of mainly single family homes and not in neighbourhood streets. The same should be found in the case of Jamesville.

It’s time to get on with this project and get some housing built.
The area in question had been habituated by residents in homes for decades, before it was destroyed in hopes of building new housing and offering housing to many who desperately need it.

It should be used as a multi use residential and commercial buildings. Originally, this was proposed for low income or geared to income housing. We have such a need for apartments and housing.

I wholly support this proposal. We are in both a housing and environmental crisis and building high density developments near major transit hubs is essential to resolving both issues.

Nothing has made me angrier in the last few years than seeing this gutted, abandoned property just sit there. I'm a mailman. I delivered mail there a few times when I started my job 7-8 years ago. It was full of families and playing kids and it served a community.

The proposed 2025 plan under current consideration of the MZO is very different than the original development plan presented to the public in 2022.

Please APPROVE this MZO request. The existing site has been vacant for so long and needs to be advanced. CN Rail is being unreasonable with their complaints. The developer has already been accommodating and adjusted the design to block more noise.

You’re turning a nice quiet neighbourhood into a Mecca of chaos. Opening up Simcoe street west, which is going to ruin everyone’s peace and quiet. When I purchased my home in the neighbourhood in 2022, there was no mention of a 20 story building and housing over 600 people across the street.

In my personal opinion the jamesville survey has stayed the way it has for way too long. I've lived down here more than half my life and not survey has been a huge part of it and seeing it like this breaks my heart.
Please do NOT allow any development here that reults in removal of trees. We are living with multiple heat emergencies per month all summer klong and cannot afford to lose a single tree within the Hamilton urban boundary.
Canada, Ontario, and certainly Hamilton are in a housing crisis. We lack housing supply of all kinds, but most importantly, housing that is accessible and affordable to the Canadian households making below median incomes.

As a citizen of the city of Hamilton, I see this redevelopment as an big, greaf impact in Hamilton as we are in great urge for home development in this city. This will not only provide a sustained amount of new homes for the residents, also it will impact north area to have a better aspect.
It is very important that a decision is made in regards to the Jamesville project because it has been too long since the project was proposed and the City of Hamilton desperately needs housing on this site.
