As a Hamilton resident, I believe the city if Hamilton should try to work with CN. Each time a scheduled meeting date between the city and CN has arrived, Hamilton and the Mayor cancel at the last minute, delaying all discussions. Meanwhile, CN has been prepared to discuss each time. Read more

I am happy to hear that this project for housing could be in the works! I hope it can be developed for supportive housing not high end options only. The wait list for housing is incredibly long and this area, access to transportation, and stores is ideal. Read more

The continued abandonment of such a considerable area is a significant concern. This valuable land should be serving our community's needs, particularly for affordable housing. It is imperative that we move forward with developing new homes for our residents in this prime location

This zoning order should proceed, it is more important for the City of Hamilton to have more affordable housing than whatever CN's concerns about noise are. The area around West Harbour GO should all be upzoned to take advantage of the excellent transit connection it provides.

Build it, who cares if it's near shunting yard. The price of the unit will reflect this. It isnt out of the question to mitigate the sound of the trains through sound proofing techniques. We need affordable housing, building more of it over time will bring the price down. Read more
