Bring back the stronger legislation, please. The new bill is nonsense and we know it. Without our protection, species at risk will fail, and then we will fail without ecological diversity. Let’s be smart instead.

I strongly oppose the changes to the Species Conservation Act, as this will cause irreparable damage to our environment. Many of these species being removed are absolutely critical as pollinators. Please repeal bill 5 and restore protections to the Endangered Species. Read more

The push to delist 106 species from the endangered species list is a decision made in haste, by people with very little knowledge of conservation, and vested interests in developing land inhabited by these endangered species. Read more

Providing less protection for endangered species is the opposite direction then where we should be going. Doug Ford and the Ontario government is using Trumps tariffs and inflation as an excuse to pass horrible legislation like this to line their own pockets. Read more

Using the current economic situation with the US to push through environmentally destructive legislation is cowardly and irresponsible. Endangered animals and ecosystems deserve more care, respect, and protection, not less. Removing species from this list will be harmful. Read more
