How about no consolidation. Each conservation authority knows their área better than any other third party will ever known. Their management should stay in the hands of the local conservation authorities, no need to centralize or consolidate. Read more

Hello, I am not supportive of the consolidation of the CAAs in Ontario. Efficiency is important. Many provincial programs have had similar reform and consolidations applied in the name of efficiency and standardization only to become unreachable and unrelatable from a local level. Read more

I believe this is not a good idea. It lacks the ability to monitor properly such a large area. People, businesses etc will be able to take advantage of this and conservation property will be negatively affected.

It is my belief that keeping the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority separate from those further east is a must. Our geographic isolation being one of the strongest arguments against amalgamation. The Lakehead Authority has a been an active presence in our community since its inception. Read more

Rivers and the regions they pass through are as different and unique as anything on earth . And rivers change dramatically from headwater to mouth . Likewise , the municipalities they pass through are different from each other and their economies can vary widely in intensity and scope . Read more
