Stop destroying our wet lands for corporate profits. We need these lands for water run off & retention. Don’t do this. For the sake of a future for humanity.
The new proposed conservation authorities jurisdictions are too broad and cannot adequately serve their locations. This is a very poor idea. Authorities need to be more localized to serve their communities.

Each watershed and ecosystem is unique and should be managed appropriately, by the people who have the knowledge. What knowledge does the government have in management aside from potential budgets and written policies really.

Conservation authorities were established to protect people and the environment, addressing local needs with local expertise. The proposed amalgamation would remove decision-making power from local experts, creating a disconnect between decision-makers and the communities they serve.

I interact with our CA several times a year and know most of the workers personally. They have helped restore native habitat on my property and others around me. They are instrumental in protecting this fragile Carolinian zone that we are in.

Terrible idea to have our local boundaries be included in areas of southern Ontario and to have critical decisions made there instead of here. I’m hoping the Government of Ontario will reconsider and keep everything about our LRCA local.

Lake Superior is the largest fresh water lake in the world into which ALL the other Great Lakes water volume can be fit.
