Three comments: 1. Our beautiful province and its environment needs to be protected and we need to ensure that we keep it clean, beautiful and most importantly habitable for future generations. It can be debated if Cap and Trade will enable that, but regardless, this is what is most important. Read more

This is a gross abdication of a government to care for all its constituents, current and future. Cap and trade, like carbon taxes, is a great way to send the economic signals to make smarter choices for our future without handicapping anyone's ability to do as they please. Read more

Please reconsider the cancellation of the Cap and Trade program. As a person who cares deeply about the kind of world we are creating and leaving for future generations, climate change needs to be addressed. It seems your government is practicing a new kind of climate change denialism. Read more

This government is under the impression that Ontarians only care about money in their pockets and low taxes. Well I have news for Doug Ford. I, like many others, do not mind paying a little more if it means clean air and water and a reduction in greenhouse gasses. Read more

I’d like to thank the MECP for the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed Bill 4. Certainly the Cap and Trade Program had problems and short-comings, but without a solid, strategic plan to replace the Climate Change Mitigation and Low-carbon Economy Act, we have nothing. Read more

I think that environment is the most important current issue, because if can't breathe clean air nothing else matters. Therefore, I object the idea of cancellation of environmental programs established by previous government. This a wrong move for people and a wrong move for businesses.

The Cap and Trade program should be kept in place. If it were to be scrapped then it should be kept in place until any new system is deemed to be equally or more effective in combatting greenhouse gases, by an independent non-partisan panel. Read more

I urge the government to reinstate the cap and trade program and to stop this assault on environmental protections. The current government has wrongly labelled the program a carbon tax and is working against the best interests of all Ontarians and future generations around the world. Read more

Cancellation of the Cap & Trade program is ill advised. It is a positive step toward addressing climate change. The Ontario government needs to take climate change seriously and implement a far reaching and effective program to deal with this critical issue. Read more
