I am against this fund, because its long term negative effects far outweigh the short term positive ones. Developers will be allowed to pay away the harm they do to the environment. This encourages a broader use of risky offsets for threatened and endangered species. Read more

This proposal is effectively a pay-to-kill system in which those with enough money will be able to walk away from destroying essential habitats and environments of at risk species with no more than a lighter pocket. Read more

These proposed changes are unacceptable and completely contrary to the purpose of the Endangered Species Act. Paying into a fund, which is managed by the same corruption that created it, is not the same as preserving individuals of a species. Read more

I do not support this proposal. It will result in developers simply paying money into a fund and absolving themselves of all responsibility for negative environmental and social impacts to watersheds, municipalites, and species at risk. Read more
