I am completely AGAINST building homes in the greenbelt area. I understand that there is a housing crisis at the moment, but taking away preserved and valuable land is not the answer. The Ford government has been ignoring the facts. Build the new homes in another part that doesn't risk so much.

A new highway in the greenbelt is a band-aid solution to "traffic" problems that would not exist if housing were more affordable and under control. At this time, many people can not afford to love where the work and therefore need to commute, often as a single person in a vehicle.

I am highly disappointed with this government for taking away land that is part of the green belt. If we continue to do so, we will have no green space left for the future citizens to enjoy. Shame on you Doug Ford!
This is nothing but a money grab for developers. The Greenbelt is much needed and should not be broken up at the whim of a government that has little regard for the environment
We’re privileged to live in one richest areas for farmland and growing. Many countries don’t have this and wouldn’t understand why we don’t protect this land instead of selling it off to the highest bidder.

I am strongly against the government of Ontario building on the Greenbelt. The green belt needs to be kept green to help preserve our province farmland and the wildlife residing in these spaces.
As a resident of Ontario (Toronto), I do not support this proposal. We have buildings being Air BnB that could be housing. Also we need multi unit affordable housing, not more single family mega homes.
