Doug Ford stated clearly when campaigning that he would not develop the green belt. I feel betrayed. We do not have food security in Ontario and developing the green belt will only make us more dependent on imports of food.

The Greenbelt and our wetlands provide clean air, clean water, flood prevention, and access to nature for our children. I expect a Conservative government to CONSERVE these things for us and future generations.

I strongly disagree with the removal of the lands described in this proposal from the Greenbelt. They are in chunks all over the place and will destroy the integrity of the surrounding Greenbelt areas.

I am not in support of Bill 23 removing land from the Greenbelt for housing developments. Ontario needs to protect its natural resources in a time when these regions may be vitally important to mitigating climate related catastrophes.

This government's decision to amend the greenbelt is an appalling contradiction to the values of Ontario. Doug Ford is aware of this, as he reassured voters multiple times that he would not touch this land. The greenbelt is immensely important to Ontario for many reasons.

Green space in Ontario is a precious place. Especially in southern Ontario. Your plan to build on the green belt will destroy important habitats, recreational space and biodiversity. Doug Ford doesn’t seem to care about the environment. All he wants is money for his friends.
